Teen Science Cafés serve teens ages 12-18 in local communities in a variety of out of school time settings. TSC Moonshot Leaders join a cohort to support through the Teen Science Café (TSC) program year and help young people become Teen Leaders and innovators in their community.
No experience in STEM is required.

TSC Moonshot Kick Off - Onboarding Virtual Meeting (60 minutes) September 18th (choose one of three to be introduced to providers in the same region)

Asynchronous Online Self-Study Learning Modules (2 hours) September 18-October 6th
One-on-One meeting with TSC Staff (1 hour) September 18-October 6th

Training and Implementation Plan Development finished (3 hours)

Host first teen science café - experts provided by MGM – 1 presenter/1 café (virtual or in person)
One-on-one mentor check-ins with TSC staff before and after café
January - June 2024
Required webinar week of January 22nd date TBD “Inclusive programming for Teens”
January - June: Run a minimum of four TSC with teen participants
Six one-on-one mentor check-ins with TSC staff before and/or after cafés
May: Disseminate student survey to teens at the conclusion of the final TSC
May: Complete educator survey at the conclusion of the final TSC

TSCN summer workshop mid-June date TBD travel provided by MGM and food and lodging provided by TSCN
Receive final installment of stipend funds, if qualified
