For a million
great reasons.
Our Mission:
Reimagine.
Let’s reimagine who can be an engineer; who can build; who can make. Let’s reimagine the future.
The Million Girls Moonshot seeks to re-imagine who can engineer, who can build, who can make. It will inspire and prepare the next generation of innovators by engaging millions more girls in STEM learning opportunities through afterschool and summer programs over the next 5 years.
The Moonshot is active in out-of-school programs in all 50 states, leveraging the Mott-funded 50 State Afterschool Network, which has access to more than 10 million youth and 100,000 afterschool programs across the country. Read more about our approach here.

Let’s build this Initiative together—everyone has a role to play. Every parent. Every business. Every educator. Every scientist. Every engineer. Every policy maker.
